With a new install Id look at Zipwake. I might make the upgrade this winter on mine. They are pricey but worth it if you spend a lot of time on the boat.

I have the same bracket and mine does not have any foam in it. There is also a drain bung underneath. Sorry I cant help with the screws.

I hear ya, thanks. After I posted, I looked through a few more threads and I found a link for custom aluminum pieces. You think 1/4inch thick would suffice? I could cut into 4x4 squares.
