Thanks @Mustang65fbk We did a Burnewiin in the transom as well for BBQ instead of the ski pilon.

Pilings at south end. Each finger on a float. There is a break water and its in a protected inlet so its not exposed to big water.

Thank you for your explanation. Makes sense. I think I'll try the mechanical system to start. New boat new system - I'm probably the guinea pig for this boat with kicker. I'll update once I know how she operates and if I need to adjust or ditch all together and go with Garmin autopilot.

You use the main to steer while kicker in gear ?

Dealer sent progress of kicker and mount. They are offset and will need a stainless tie bar with some angles to steer and trim independently. We talked about the Garmin kicker autopilot but I really didn't want a remote control.
