    Replacing Grady striping...

If it's very old the stripes will still be very visible, with or without the old glue residue. Oxidation and UV rays guarantee it. Only thing left in this case is alot of polishing compound and elbow grease. It's much easier to replace the stripes.

    Replacing Grady striping...

I dunno, different climate maybe. I had the same effect with goo off, scrubbed like hell and minimal result. I wet it good momentarily with acetone and it rubbed off very easily with minimal scrubbing.

    20' Overnighter Repower

I have an 83 204c with a 200 Johnson on it and the scuppers are high enough with it. My hull is rated for like 235hp, so whatever a 83 235 hp outboard weighs would be your max weight I would think.

    Lowrance Hds-5 GPS Receiver

    Cabin Interior Renovation

I'd be curious to know of anyone who has just removed the fur and went to paint or whatever. It doesn't seem like it would be much difference in noise, as not much chance of staying in the cuddy much when steaming, maybe it has some insulation value from the summer sun? Anyone know?

    Cabin Interior Renovation

yeah, so would I. I am restoring an 83 204 overnighter. I'm considering taking the overhead liner out and painting, but I'm not sure how much insulation, and/or sound deadening properties it has, or how much I need for that matter. I have already ripped out the carpet from the helm and in the...

204c replacing carpet in cockpit or can i glass it ?

I have a 83 overnighter with the same butt ugly carpet. I'm leaning heavily toward pulling it up and gelcoating. This is an excellent post on gelcoating with non skid. http://www.greatgrady.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7681 Renegade
