Deep Water Ramp in Jacksonville FL Recommendation

Thanks everyone. I used the ramp at Sisters Creek and it worked great. It was high tide when we launched.

Deep Water Ramp in Jacksonville FL Recommendation

Hello, after 10 great years of ownership, I am in the process of selling my 1999 Marlin 300 and purchasing a 360 Express; both are expected to close within the next 7-10 days. I still love the Marlin, maybe the most versatile boat going. I've read many of the threads on this forum about the 360...

    Marlin Not Tracking Well

My tracking problem was the result of air in the hydraulic lines. Regarding the engine spacing, this is the response from Grady Engineering, "28.5" is the minimum center line distance between the engines (for four strokes). The engines will hit each other in certain turn/tilt conditions if they...

    Marlin Not Tracking Well

Nothing yet NOREGRETS. I'll call Grady about the spacing (good discussion on the other thread). I need to fix my steering/air issue, but have been slowed by the birth of of my daughter. You'd think my wife would have waited until this issue was resolved!! Women ;)

    Marlin Not Tracking Well

I checked the spacing on the engines, and it is 28.5 inches. She has been repowered with Yamaha 225 hp 4 strokes. I am also curious as to the performance different, or ballast difference that the 4 inches (to 32.5 inch separation) makes. Does Grady White have documented specifications for...

    Marlin Not Tracking Well

You guys are right on the money. I have 720 deg of play in my steering. I can even move the engines side to side by hand with no response at the wheel. The engines have been flopping around back there and I've been flailing around at the helm to try and correct. I'll add some hydraulic fluid...

    Marlin Not Tracking Well

Good suggestions NO REGRETS, I'll look into the possibility of air in the lines and the alignments. The air has me particularly intrigued because it seems as though modest corrections are ineffective and that lkittle issue could solve the much larger issue. I'll let you know via a follow-up...

    Marlin Not Tracking Well

Thanks everyone for your comments. I wasn't aware of a hull design change, I'll look into that. I am still experiencing walking with the tabs up and engines trim up at planing speed. The walking I'm referring to is when I'm attempting to hold a course (even in calm seas) the boat will drift to...

    Marlin Not Tracking Well

Gman25. Thx, she is handling just like she's bow heavy. The tracking issue isn't limited to a following sea, its amplified in those conditions. Perhaps I should shift as much weight aft as can reasonably be done.

    Marlin Not Tracking Well

We purchased a used 1999 Marlin in the fall of 2009 and put 150 hrs on her this season so far. My family loves the boat, as do I, except that it is not tracking well to say the least. Yesterday, in mild 2-3ft following sea I was working hard to keep control of the boat. That's the problem I'm...
