I purchased a 2004 180 Sportsman w/ Honda 150 Four Stroke back in March and then promptly blew out my knee, I never got to use it, sat on a trailer all summer. There's about 20gal. of gas still in the 60gal. tank.
I need to do something for the winter (in NY), is it better to try and drain the old gas from the tank or fill the tank with new gas, stabilize, run until it gets to the carbs and then drain carbs and fog the engine?

thanks,

Rob

Add stabilizer to the 20 gallons in the tank. Run the engine to get it all the way through the system. Replace the fuel filter.

In the spring, fill the tank with fresh fuel and stabilizer.

remember to change the fuel separator in spring as well and use Ring Free.

I change the fuel filter in the fall, then add the stabilizer and run it through. The stabilized fuel gets to the engine and whatever is in the filter over the winter naturally has stabilizer in it, as well.
