I just bought a '96 192 Tournament with horn that doesn't work. Called our local GW dealer who told me GW can't furnish a replacement anymore; the manufacturer is no longer around. It's the square type. Has anyone had to replace one and can tell me what they used??

Get a 5x5 piece of 1/4 inch starboard in the GW color. Buy any flush mount horn assembly. Drill a hole in the starboard and mount the horn to it. Then you can mount the panel over the existing hole. I had to do the same thing to my 180.

Fin Addict Marine or FL Marine Plastics can make the panel if you aren't handy. Probably cost you around $25 or so...

Centurion,
Mine did not have a squard hole to cover, it just screwed in.
Parthery suggested this site for starbord. http://www.finaddictmarine.com/
I have used them before replacing the three Brady Bunch Doors on my older model DC.
Finaddicts do very good work.

I just mounted the same AFI horn on my Gulfstream. My issue is one trumper works fine (either one) when hooked up. When I hook the other one up the horn stops working. Did anyone else have any issues wiring it up? I know there is no positive or negative on the horns and they are supposeably reversible. I tried all the different wiring combos already. Right now I'm leaving just one trumpet wired so i have a horn.

Fishman,
I had the same problem with mine.
I will speak with my partner who redid the wiring after I screwed it up.
It was a simple fix.

Fishman,
From the horn push button switch connect the 12 volt wire to both of the horn switch legs.
Do the same with the two grounds. Just twist them togther.
Sounds like you did the same thing I did, get one of the switch legs mixed up with one of the grounds.
Good luck.

Seems that my best option is to make a replacement horn plate out of starboard as mentioned above. The current plate is 4.5 x 4.5". Does anyone know what the right starboard color would be to match the Grady White white??

Also, what's the least expensive way to obtain a small plate like that without buying a whole sheet of starboard for $40 + dollars?

Fin addict charged me about $25, including cutting the hole in the middle, and UPS shipping. They also have the starboard in the matching GW color.

You're a good man Parthery. I just emailed Fin Addict for a quote. Thanks for the help!

By the way, you helped me as a Newbie with my first post on another subject but suggested that I need to post a photo, "boat porn" as you called it. I'm a brand new Grady owner and my boat is the smallest one they make so I'm embarrassed to post my tiny boat on a forum with owners of much "bigger iron". Now I know what I've been missing. The plastic sleek fancy "toys" that I've been used to and are common in the recreational market can't hold a candle to this Grady that I now own. I love it. Will try to take a picture up close so it looks bigger and then post it on this site.

No GW is too small...I've owned a 180, 192, 205, 208, 225, 226 and 228. I actually prefer the smaller ones as they can be trailered easily. And yes - we still expect to see boat porn.

Back to the horn panel - you might also email John at FL Marine Plastics....he did my last dash panel and was comparable in price to Fin-Addict, but was able to deliver quicker. Fin-Addict, by the sheer volume they do for the OEMs, sometimes gets backed up.
