Good morning. I have a 1988 Fisherman 204 and the gauges are un-readable. Looking to update them so that I can know the fuel level, etc. It has a 2003 Yamaha 200HP HPDI. Just looking for standard gauges, nothing fancy, that will work and I can get down the water, knowing my fuel level at least. Thank you.

It's unclear what you have and exactly what you want - which makes it hard to advise. Can you better describe... or better yet, post a pic? Yamaha multi-function... individual gauges, etc?

Thanks for that.

They actually look pretty clear... what's wrong?

Fuel is easy to hook up. You can get a plain Jane fuel gauge just about anywhere. Easy as pie hookup, too. Instructions will be with it, but you just need a ground, switched power and your sender wire.

That is a picture of them powered on, they are faded so badly that they are unreadable. Looking into replacements. Was just curious what others had found and liked.

If the clear plastic face is clouded but the LCD display is working and the backlight works ( check in the dark) there is a company that refurbishes gauges. They doa good job

The info on the tach gauge is important. It will display over heat and low oil conditions ( 2 strokes). I wouldn't give those up.

Those are on? Oh, I assumed they were off! :)

Go look at gauge saver dot come. Fantastic guy to deal with and has honest pricing. I sent him mine and it came back looking like new.

If it’s just the glass I bought one for under $30 on eBay by mistake. I actually needed the entire fuel gauge which was just under $400!

Before you blame the gauges, make sure they are powered on. It could be they have become unplugged for some reason. Those look powered off, typically when they are extremely cloudy you can see at least something. When you first turn them on they should test go to all eights and you should be able to see something. I would recommend a quick check of your wiring before you change gauges.
