Every time I lower my port side engine I get a slick of oil in the water. I was told there is a pinhole in the fluid line going to the trim motor. My engine is now stuck in the raised position. I know I can add oil to the piston to get it working again but does anyone know how difficult it would be to replace the lines where the pin hold is. Thx

I was having the same issues. Check and see if any fluid is coming from the top of the shaft, coming out of the dust seal. I just rebuilt the tilt piston. No more oil slick and the motors raise and lower smoothly. Good luck

Like Ling King said, check the seals on the trim and tilt rams for oil.

Thanks all. Boat mechanic said there’s a small hole in the metal lime that runs to the tilt
Motor. Wondering if this can just be soddered or welded. He suggests replacing the lines but with only another month left for me this boating season I may just add oil and repair it when I pull out of water for the season
