Hey guys, new to this site. Ive got my eye on a 91 dolphin have heard alot about the sv2 hull not sure when it came about. Does it really make that big of a difference if its not the sv2 hull. Im sure your tired of talking about it so its a one time question. Also can anyone shed some light on the handleing of this boat. Thanks, Tim

Welcome to the site, a gold rush lately of new members!

You missed the Seav2 hull by one year, your boat is same hull as the Sailfish, plenty of guys here with it.

I bet you would be getting the boat so cheap today, what the heck!

Thanks for the reply Bob, yes your right great time to buy tough time to sell

I almost bought one.

The boat I was looking at was at the GW dealer in Morehead City, NC. It had a "sell pending" at the time. So I purchased a '98 instead. I really liked the boat. Nice and clean, no bottom paint, and wouldn't you know it...just found out this past weekend the guy backed out of the deal. The asking price was $10, 5 but from what I understand 8Gs would have moved it. Both the dealer and the owner WANT IT GONE. The boat didn't have any engines but that was ok with me cause I had found a pair of OX-66 200's for 8Gs. The owner spent over $3,000 getting it ready for sell.

That's what brokers are supposed to do in these times, tell a buyer what it will take to move it, and end it.

It wasn't too long ago, homes were selling higher than asking where I live and new boat prices were ratching up year over year at ridiculous rates. What a fast transition.

Heavy duty ,that would have been a sweet deal. The boat were looking at has a pair of omc 200s a little on the worn side but repower is in the future 8)

You are right on Bob. I bought my house 15 years ago. Since that time the value supposedly has increased by 3 times what I paid for it. I have refinanced since then, but only to get lower rates and/or shorter terms but never to take equity. I have 5 more years and it is mine. Glad I didn’t fall into the trap of taking any money out.

You should be able to pick that up cheap. The one I looked at would make a great boat from the point of powering it the way you want it. The hull is in great shape.
