Thinking about buying a 1999 Grady Marlin with twin 250 HP Yamaha OB. Any body have a guess on how much gas I should expect to burn ? And what kind of range I should get? Thanks Ken

JIT is correct on the WOT fuel burn. We had a single 250HP OX66 and WOT was about 27-28GPH.

If you cruise at 4000-4200RPM, you should see about 16-18GPH per engine.

You can probably figure on 1.0nm/gal as an overall average. You may do better, or worse, depending on speed, sea state, wind, boat load, bottom condition, etc.

Best of luck,
Brian

I have a 1998 30 Marlin w/twin 250 ox66. I just ran offshore and total trip was 117 miles. 90 of that was running at 3800 rpm which runs my boat at 28 - 30 mph full of fuel and gear with 4 people. I used 95 gal of fuel. I ran a trip in the spring of 143 miles full of fuel no water and only myself and used 98 gal. So in general I burn around 1.1 gpm give or take. WOT was 48 mph couldn't tell you what fuel burn was I was just testing props and holding on.

I have a 92 Marlin w/ 99 twin 250 ox66s. Depending on sea state and wind, the best I can average is a little over a gallon a mile. Best range is around 3900 - 4100 rpms and I can do 28-31 mph burning 28-30 gph.

I run @ 3700 burning 19.7 GPH doing 24knts . 1/3 fuel , full water tank , and way too much gear . I think that it is exceptable . I do have a full tower so I drag more than others. My props are 17x15 1/4 bottom is real smooth after an extensive cleaning in the off season .

93 Marlin with t/250 99 ox66

Had a bimini with t/f250's and at cruising i was doing 1.3 to 1.5 MPG, with the 330 and same motors i get 1 to 1.1 and less speed. So your marlin should get 1.2 to 1.4 MPG at about 32 MPH.
