1999 Grady White 208 Adventure Hardtop for sale with repower - $34,400

Not mine and I'm not sure if it's legitimate or not but looks like a fair deal for an older 208 Adventure with a pretty rare hardtop, or at least an option that you don't see terribly often on the older 208 Adventure's. Brand new Yamaha 150 hp 4 stroke outboard on it that still has its 3 year warranty. Shows "OH" for the registration numbers on the side of the boat as well as a painted trailer, multiple smaller sized GPS units and a few other oddities making me think that this was potentially a freshwater only used boat perhaps in the Great Lakes area?

I think a Yamaha 200 would maybe be the "more correct" motor for the boat if one really wanted to go faster, but the top speed on her with a Yamaha 150 is 40.4 mph @ 6,000 rpm and burning 15.7 gph of fuel. A Yamaha 200 will get you a little bit better mid range for fuel economy with a top speed of 44.1 mph @ 6,000 rpm and 19.6 gph of fuel burned. The differences between the two with regards to the optimum cruise is 26.4 mph @ 4,100 rpm for the 150 and 26.5 mph @ 3,800 for the 200. If one didn't care so much about top speed then I see no reason why the 150 couldn't work, and speaking from experience I personally don't hardly ever go over 25-30 mph so that I can save on fuel. The only times my boat has seen 40 mph or above were the first few times after buying her and taking her out to see what she could do.
