2000 Yamaha OX?

Tucker, I totally agree. I have the same motor '99 0x66 150, and "I RUN THE CRAP OUT OF IT...". That beast drools and belches oil smoke like my 6-year old bullmastiff but starts every time and runs all day. Love it, even if she drinks twice as much as a 4-stroke, at least I can rely on it. - Bob

I had a 26 foot Century with a pair of these engines. Overall, they performed very well. They are thirsty but ran just fine on regular 87 octane gas. The only problems I had over a 7 year span was one had a "ghost" problem with blowing the main 30 amp fuse every few years. Since the problem was so intermittant, it was hard to find and I simply carried extras and replaced. However, if it was replaced right away, it would blow again. Wait few hours and the problem went away. I came in on 1 engine those couple of times. The other problem was with the sensors on one engine. They had to be replaced. Otherwise, they were always reliable with lotsa power. They like to be run so don't baby them. I would give them high marks for reliability and power. Not so high for efficiency but such is life with 2-stroke engines. Hope this helps.

O.K, this is what the guy who sells the motor dropped off by me today. Is this motor an OX ? or which motor is it?

Also, the mounting bolt pattern i have on my boat is a little different, how can i get a template for this engine? I know i could make one but i have to lift the motor in order to trace the pattern.
Also, how can i get an owners manual ?

Pop the cowling. If there's a big silver tank on the port side, it's an OX66. If not, it's carbed.

My 200 OX66s also say "OX66 Fuel Injection" on both sides of the cowling.

It does have a tank (oil tank?) and also the guy told me is fuel injected.

The oil tank is the white plastic one. It's also on the port side, but it's back more toward the cylinder head. The silver VST tank you're looking for is closer to the black air silencer/throttle body cover. It has a schrader valve on top for checking fuel pressure.

If he said it's fuel injected, it probably is. Kinda hard to get that and carbs mixed up. But then again...I've seen stranger things.

Also, I'm 99% sure the "SX" in the model number indicates OX66. "S" was for carbed motors and "Z" for HPDI.

What is "winky-blinky" ?
What about a template for the bolt pattern ? My boat bottom bolt holes are even on the width with the top ones and from what i see on this motor they have to be more inwards.

what motor did you have one?

all motors are the same, cept Honda

winky blink is what yami calls there diagnostic light

Isn't that red ring in the fuel filter supposed to be at the bottom? It looks like you have some water in there.

It had the original Force 150 with the top bolts been 1/2" and the bottom ones 1/4" or 5 1/16" but they are in the same line from top to bottom.

Did not check for water, but maybe is because the engine is laying down?(see first picture). The guy told me that he took the motor to a mechanic and everything was fixed/replaced cause he had some problems with the injectors. I have not pay him yet, he told me to install it, try it and if i like the motor and runs good then pay him. (2200 bucks, includes controls, harness, binnacle, is the O.K price?)
