Hi all,
I'm an aussie, but worked in Charlotte, NC for about a year where I met and fell in love with the GW.
This year I imported a second hand 2001 228 with hardtop and 200hp HPDI from NC and have been really enjoying it.
It was really hard work importing the boat, lots of late nights and early mornings, and a great deal of risk. Luckily it all turned out OK.
Here's a couple of photos.
The parcel arrives!!
Happy days - what's under the wrapping paper??
I get some friends around, and we install the hardtop (after taking some advice from this forum!)
She's ready to go and looking good - all we need now is some water!?!
Our first trip in Bantry Bay, Sydney Harbour here. Time to celebrate!
We're going away on holiday, the 228 is taking us there as its boat access only. Our destination is Milsons Passage on the glorious Hawkesbury River, just north of Sydney. Here
Looking good after a day's exploring
Life is good on a Grady
Our 228 ON Sydney Harbour Bridge!!
Our 228 below Sydney Harbour Bridge, cruising in front of the Opera House and city skyline.
Hooked up at the North Head of Sydney Harbour. Luckily our Grady has a walkaround deck
Some more fun in Bantry Bay
