Ok got my new vinyl replacement for the aluminum bang plate on my 05 seafarer. My question is, is that it’s thicker and don’t want the motor to crush it. Should I notch the bang plate or file down the motor bracket a little?

Did you get that from Grady? Do you mind if I ask the cost. This may be something that I need to go to. Thanks.

Yeah got it from Grady. Was pretty cheap. $3 a foot and bought the gradywhite color silicon caulk to put around it after I 5200 the fiberglass underneath.

I e-mailed GW customer service to get a replacement but never heard back. Guess I will give them a ring instead.

I'd look at a new boat if you can. I'd be inclined to cut the cap. I'd first do a quick fit check and clamp the motor down unless the interference was bad.
