2005 seafarer flush mount

Order some starboard from Grady and made this. Next will be to get new hinges lol. Then when I get two 9” displays srew in a new piece and out two nines in. For now my 7” touch screen works lol.

Also did away with that electronic box in the cabin for more room down there.

I like it. I opted to eliminate the fold up door and just do a permanent flush mount with a sheet of black acrylic I had made online. Just need to get the Grady colored gelcoat patch kit to cover the screw holes. You'd think Grady would see all these owners refitting the dashes and stop making them that way, but looks like from website even 2021 new boats have the fold up door compartment!

Yeah no Grady just ended the whole seafarer instead for 2022. Maybe they may make a 21 and combine the adventure and seafarer together.

Wow, you're right! Crazy as I just looked at the website a few weeks back when I was doing dash project to see if they still had the compartment in new boats and they were there. So just in last week or two. Seems odd as Seafarers are some of the hardest models to find in used market - they're a lot more boat than 208 but way easier to trailer than anything bigger. I agree they will probably come up with some sort of replacement.

Alot of us with Seafarer's have gone flush mount. I did mine and mounted a Simrad NSS12 Evo3, and this past week in the Keys was my first time using it flush mounted. Very pleased with it.
