Bought my boat used; original F250 was on its last leg so I sourced a used replacement. New (to me) motor is an F250 Left Rotation; prop is 17” pitch. Original was a 19” Yamaha SaltWaterSeries. Considering going to a 4 blade prop for better stern lift (claimed). My question: will a 4 blade keep the boat on plane at a slower speed? Thought I would ask the G-W community before I called PowerTech.

Yes, it’s equipped with Bennett Tabs which I do use.

In that case, I would prop the boat to get the most efficiency and put the 19" on it. You can drop those tabs down (and engine if needed) and stay on plane very easily at a slower speed - those will have more of the effect you're looking for than a prop. This way you can also retain lower RPM's for a given cruising speed.
