Looking at a Freedom 255 and it is not clear to me as to which Head Type has raw or fresh water. Is the Manual Head raw water and the Electric Head Fresh water? Thanks, trying to decide which to select.

I have had both raw and fresh water heads. I much prefer the fresh water head.

I am not sure but it looks that the 2012 vintage models had several options, all seem to be 'portable' heads. One option is manual pump out or deck pump out. A second option was pump out with macerator pump. According to the user manual diagrams, all options are fed from a fresh water tank.

Appreciate everyone responding. Another guy in my club confirmed that his 2013 GW 255 is electric head with raw water. May assess how to retrofit to fresh water.

If you are going to convert to fresh water system, take a look at a vacuum assisted toilet. They use much less water per flush. The down side is that there is a pump and vacuum tank assembly that need to installed below deck and that could pose a challenge.
The existing system may or may not have an overboard discharge feature. That is not an issue if you plan on only using dockside pumpout.
