226 / 228 Seafarer Trailer Size?

In my search for a Seafarer, I'm finding a few that don't have trailers. What size trailer would I need? Probably will not buy a new one just borrow or buy a used one. 23 ? 24? Thanks.

I put a new one under mine when I bought my boat. Picked it up from Loadmaster in Tampa Model number is 2224-7TD. That said, thinking my trailer will fit a 22'-24' hull. I have it rigged out with double spares with spindles, disc brakes on both axles, torsion axles also. Being in Kentucky, my boat sees a lot of road time running to South Carolina and Florida. I'll be heading to Lake Erie in the spring to try my hand at Walleye fishing. True trailer boat.

I purchased a LoadMaster 2224 with torsion axles and electric over hydraulic brakes. Very pleased with it. I drove to Norfolk, VA to pickup at dealer (have some family a few hrs from there).

Load Rite or 5 Starr trailer are great. DONT go used. Not worth the headache. Get the 5800# .

Regardless of brand, you are going to want one that is rated for 7000 gross....comes in around 5800-5900 net. The 7000 gross trailers have (2) 3500 lb axles on them.

You should email Grady customer service . . . I did and they provided me with precise specs beyond just capacity (bunk height, spacing, etc.). They even included the spec sheet they provide to trailer manufacturers.

I just got a new trailer for my 226, Grady said my boat was 4800 max lb loaded with gas, water etc. I ended up with the venture 5225 bunk trailer. I was able to load the boat on it alone this year.

The 2224-7TD stands for 22' to 24' and 7,000 lb capacity with TieDown spindles. They used to stamp it all out on the I-beam back when I bought the trailer you traded in. That trailer, and your new one, seems to be perfect for the 228.
