228 hull

Im looking to purchase a 1993 to 1999 228 grady , hardtop, pulpit. is there anything that i should look for that was possibly a problem in those years

Yes there is. Pay someone to perform a check for transom rot. Assume nothing is my advice.

I will add to that, floor rot ( over the tank) and swim step rot if fitted with one. The transom in the 228 is well protected from factory as it is well sealed , check around the sculpersand anywhere that has screws. 226 on the other hand is more prone to rot . Any boat with bottom paint that lived in the water will be more prone to rot.
