Possibly going to look at a 99' 263 chase with twin 200s. Heard they changed the hull design around 2000. Did they in fact and did the change make a big improvement?? Thanks for any input

in 2000, they extended the bottom running surface all the way to the transom. it gives you an additional 1.5 to 2 feet of running surface when on plane. the 99 and earlier might be a TINY bit more efficient and faster due to less drag, the 2000 and newer might have a better ride in rough water due to being a longer boat in the water.

2002 was when they changed to 273 Chase to handle 4 strokes. If you have 4 strokes on that one it may sit a little low for the scuppers..so check that.

my 2000 has the change. the change to the 273 was more interior layout. even 273s can sit low.
