I am looking to repower my 2001 265 and I am interested in adding a bracket with twin 300 4 strokes. Has anyone repowered their 265 this way? If so, please provide details vs original factory set up.

Just wondering why you would want to do this, not sure it’s necessary. There was one for sale awhile back that had 300 Suzuki’s, no bracket

Highly doubt anyone has done this. Your CG would be completely FUBARed without moving fuel tanks, batteries, etc.
Every year I see a thread or boat on THT where someone with more money than brains follows through with what you are proposing - and/or putting another engine or much bigger engines on the back of the boat. A year later the boat is for sale. Can't imagine why?

A bracket on a 265 would take away one of the benefits of the boat. By having the engines tucked in tight to the cockpit allows the transom to be much more fishable. Ditch the bracket idea and just slap some 300s on the transom.

Let's think of the pros and cons here

Downside case is that performance and handling are totally shot by completely changing the weight distribution in a way that was never intended, ruining the usefulness and market value of the boat

Upside is what exactly? A few more MPH and not having to flip the transom door?
