I need to replace the tubing for the aft bilge pump in my 95' 272 Sailfish. What is the best way to replace the tubing? It appears to go underneath the livewell. Does the aft most floor (behind fuel tank access) come out?

Thank you

I had a 272 before I got my Marlin. I had to remove the livewell to get access under it. On my 272 the remote oil pumps for the oil tanks were located under the live well. It was not easy but doable to get it out. Besides removing the screws I had to cut the live well tank insulation on the top area of the tank to get it out. When ready to reinstall, I added some insulation to where I had cut too much loose.
Once you get the tank out you will have access to that area, you may have to hang upside down like I did but after a couple beers it got easier.
Good luck.

Fellinger, do you still have two-strokes on your Sailfish? When I bought my '95, it had 2012 4-strokes on it, which meant that the area under the aft live well (which gotagrip just described) had some empty space.

Mine also has an access panel at the foot of the aft live well. I thought that was standard, but haring you and gotagrip talk, I'm beginning to think that maybe a previous owner cut it in for this reason? If you don't have one, I'll send a photo in case you'd like to do the same. Gives easy access to the area under the live well, which is roomy if there are no longer any 2-stroke oil tanks sitting there.

does the 1995 have plastic thru hulls ? I changed out all my 1994 sailfish with ss one's. Had to remove the back bait well, for the port side, then crawled right down in there. Don't remember how I did the aft starboard side.
