Looking to discuss the range of this boat.

I usually cruise ~28 mph @ 3900 rpm, ~21 gph… that’s about ~9 hours running or ~252 miles (total)… is this reasonably accurate?

if 252 is the max, then applying the rule of thirds would mean 252/3 = 84 miles (168 miles out and back) would be a safe range.

Feel free to disagree.

1.3 mpg is reasonable for your boat and if if you keep to the 1/3 safety margin, that trip would be reasonable Weather and sea conditions can affect your fuel burn rate. So will load, like gear and passengers
Although you have a 200 gallon tank, you won't be able to use it all if you had to since there will always be some fuel below the pickup

I have the Grady report from when I had my 272 if that helps with your calculations. I would think your in a safe range, I saw 1.5mpg on a good day with bottom paint, I was usually around 1.25 it seemed.
