I have read several topics on shower sump pumps on this forum but, I can't seem to find the answer that I need. I noticed that the shower sump circuit breaker on my boat was popped. I reset it and it interrupted some of my electronics (I assume a surge) and again tripped. I know the pump is located in the cabin somewhere but, I cannot find a reference to exactly where. I would like to disconnect the sump as I don't use the shower, unless it used by something else that I do need it for.

Thanks!

Going down into the cabin there is a round o ring port in the floor, there should also be 4 screw with about a 12 inch by 20 inch floor panel. If you pop open the round port hole with a coin, there is a small box just aft of the port hole .There’s a float switch and pump in the small box. I would pop the 4 screws and it opens up the whole area. Clean the round filter, it stops some of the stuff, but most likely there’s something jammed in the pump, lot of hair, crap and sand ends up down there. When I cleaned out ours it had a lot of stuff, and if You didn't dump winterize the sump the pump might of frozen and broke?
