282 Sailfish Thru-Hull Transducer Help

Finally got mine finished and seatrialed. I put it right where you were thinking between the flat spot and the stringer. It fits and works flawlessly.

Jdrurb, looks good. I ended up getting mine installed by a local outfit. They installed it behind the pockets, accessing the area through the transom access ports. Dropping her in this week, haven't sea trialed her yet.

This is where my 20 degree B164 is located on a 2002 282 Sailfish, once your settings are dialed in you should have good results. I hold bottom to several hundred feet at least (haven't gone further than that yet) at 30+ knots of boat speed.

Ran the boat for the first time this weekend with the new transducer. Held bottom up to 40knts. Very happy with the outcome.
