Wondering if anyone has removed and repaired the waste tank on the 283 Release? My macerator does not work and the tank level indicator also does not work. Never has. Real tight working on it. Hoping someone else has encountered this?

I replaced my tank level monitor with an extenal Solo Tank Monitor. I though my macerator was gone too but when I touched the switch wired together it fired up. You are correct about replacing the internal parts of the system. The tanks itself is much bigger than the access hatch so I'm not sure how you would get it out. A couple of guys on here have replaced the internal macerator with one mounted outside of the tank - just do a search and they should pop up with photos and steps to complete the project.

This model is no longer made by the manufacturer and has been replaced by the TM product line. You may still find them though.

sounds like a crappy (pun intended) job... I'm sure my time in the tank will come.

Interesting. Thanks for the replies. I will check that out. Those tanks are crazy expensive also.
