On my 228, I’m in the process of installing my 2 transom mount transducers (3in1s for GO9s). The first one is installed on the starboard side and I was going to have the 2nd installed on thePort side. However, after running the cable up my gunnel, the starboard transducer maybe had 6 ft of cable remaining.

Has anyone installed a transducer on the port side? If so, how did you run it up and did you need to get an extension?

I only have one but best to contact the manufacturer for cable instructions. I know some don't recommending cutting. Hopefully they offer an extension.

I am running three. One structure scan and a P66 on the transom starboard side and one p66 on the port side side. Both p66 work well at speed, the structure scan good only at trolling speed.Did not need any extension and they are run incased in tubing under the starboard gunnel. This is on a 208 so not sure what the length diff. is transom to helm.

I’ll have to measure it the next time I am by the boat. My starboard transducer works great, held bottom at all speeds today so I’d like them to mirror the location on the other side to match the performance

The cable length is 25ft which I thought was plenty but I didn’t have as much as I thought I would.
