300 Marlin Battery Question

I have (4) group 27 batteries with (2) batteries wired in parallel in each bank. Looks like bank1 is dead. I started both on bank2 (didn't have power assist steering as this is connected to bank1 and ran it for the day.
I have not had daylight to investigate further. The wiring documentation doesn't clearly identify which batteries are tied to bank1 and bank2.
Looking at it, I'm guessing the front two batteries (closest to cockpit) are bank1.

Does anyone know for sure?

I don't, but I've been there (wondering which bank is which) with other boats. Rather than me asking others and hoping mine was wired exactly the same, I just disconnected one of the bank's negative leads and then took note to the switch as to what 12V items were still working. Then I wrote directly on the positive's rubber, protective cover with a Sharpie number.

I concur with Dennis. I am heading up to my boat tomorrow and can check my batteries. My Marlin is a 2007.

Mine are wired front to back (1) starboard, (2) port. It was the two bank1 batteries. They were put in 2014 per the markings, so I got my use out of them. Ended up going with Group27 Duracell starting batteries.
