Just took delivery of our 330 Express,
This is our 4th GW , my last 2 300 marlins had a removal box under the port transom hatch next to the fish box.
This 330 had no removal box under the latched hatch? Is it missing or does the 330 not have one?
Thanks

They all did in the past. There was a recent refresh of the design, maybe the design was changed. Not sure how you access that area now. What is in there now? Can you take a pic? Might be a feature (deletion) that is coming for all at the next refresh....

Hope these help. I could not find any sort of part number per on the box. Looking at the parts manual, it may be GW part number 20-107, Port Drop In Box.

My 2007 box is shaped differently than the one in the picture above.

When I bought my 2003 330 used, that box was missing (and is a slightly different shape, has a notch in one corner. Grady has told me they don't make 'em anymore and I'd love to put one in there to keep my batts drier. Anyone have an idea for how to make one or acquire one from somewhere? I'm not a fiberglass expert.

It's plastic, not fiberglass... Given the amount of water that collects in mine I'd definitely do something to stop intrusion... Maybe at least add some sort of rubber foam seal?

I think it might be quite hard / expensive to fabricate a drop-in replacement. The material is fairly thin (think standard Rubbermaid plastic garbage bin sort of thing)...

Anyone install a gas piston or locking spring on this hatch? I also think it's a bit weird how it flops open completely... (though maybe that so you can lift out the container and get to the batteries?)

You say "took delivery". Is it new? If so, definitely should have them and don't give in until they get them for you.
You'll have a hell of a time finding them.

I hate those things. Both of them on my 265 are chipped. Very brittle. The 265 has angles on them.
Thinking of making something out of fiberglass/epoxy/foam to replace.

My V20 had same thing and some guys found plastic tubs that worked. Someone even found a stainless serving tub at a restaurant supply that fit.

Just looking at the pix again. Those have a flat edge, which is good for finding a replacement. Mine has a cupped edge all the way around.
Guys looking for replacements--- Check out TEMPRESS
