Express 330
I'm looking to purchase a pre-owned Grady. I want an express model. I like the 33 and 36 models in the 2005-2008 range. I will be using it mostly for short weekend overnights in a Marina and sometimes offshore for tuna (4-6 trips per year). The weekend overnights will be spent with no more than 4 people. I realize bigger is usually better and an expense comes with it as well. Id like to hear users thoughts, especially those who might have owned both. Best, Joe

I owned both. A 2003 330 and a 2006 360. The 360 is like a 330 on steroids. It is just bigger and more comfortable in every way. It is also more expensive to run and maintain - significantly. The 330 will sleep 4 easily. The 360 will sleep 4 comfortably and even 5 comfortably. The 360 will handle bigger seas but the 330 can do pretty much anything the 360 can do. With our 360 we had 5 of us and would go for up to 8 nights on excursions. When I moved up to my 360 my buddy moved up from a Marlin to a 330. We did a lot of boating together and he never had to turn back when I could go. One time we had a 45 mile run in pretty heavy seas. He ran slower but made it just fine. Both a fantastic boats. you can’t go wrong with either. If I was looking to do an express again it would be a 330. If you have any specific questions LMK…..4-6 offshore trips and a few short overnights and IT would be a 330 in my book.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep this in mind in my search for my next boat.

I'm surprised you say the 360 is significantly more expensive to run - since I average about 1 MPG in my 330, the 360 was that much worse?? Now I'm terrified. LOL.

It depends on what power you have but a 360 of that vintage will most likely have trip 250’s on it. It will get somewhere between .7 and .8 MPG burning 38-41 GPH at 4500 RPM and 30 MPH. Real world and load doesn’t matter in that boat. My 330 got 1.2 MPG.

Easy one. If you got the jing the 360 all day. If not the 330 fits the bill.
