Thinking of ordering replacement fuel tank sender to use for recalibration of gauge and would need the depth information.
I try to avoid messing with existing sender as it does work but the calibration became a mess since it need to be done with empty tank reading (240 Ohms) as single point calibration. If I have a spare unit I can use that for calibration and then reconnect existing one.

I tried to get to tank dimensions but not easy so my assumption is 45L x 75W x 20H inches so the sender stalk should be maybe 18 or as close to 20 in as possible if these dims would be right.

Have put question into Grady as well so probably will get answer from them as well.

Update
I did get the information from GW very rapidly and in good format. Depth is 22" and Florida Marine Tanks is supplier so dimensions can be gained from them, not needed when I have 22.

You should have the option to calibrate using the defaults. In that case the head unit or gauge uses the full spec resistance as the full level and the low (empty) resistance for the empty. It then divides the resistance range linearly to estimate tank levels in between empty and full. Since the tank probably is not a perfect rectangle shape, there will be some errors in actual levels and the display levels but they won't be awful.
The type and in some cases length of the sender relative to the tank depth may be more of an issue and there is no exact empty reading since any sender will read empty at some point but there will be some gas in the tank.
All that said, take a look at your existing sender for a model number stamped on the top. If it is a KUS (aka WEMA) type, you may be able to see that number and the number will tell you the length

It is a KUS so I can check that.
On the default issue, that is what I have tried, set it on default and then when the tank is full set it as such. No success. I did read on a forum that this is a problem with this version of CL7 and in the next iteration of SW they fixed it.

I will once more try the default way after I first delete all info, we will see how that goes.

Nothing wrong with pulling the sender out. It absolutely, positively won't cause any issues with it at all. If it does, it was on borrowed time and ready for replacement anyways.

If you do your method... when you disconnect the sender, will that "reset" the procedure? I don't know the answer - just wondering out loud.

It looks like that is a 22 inch but checking the numbers with KUW would confirm that. The senders are usually a half inch or so shorter than the tank depth for a metal tank.

I am not really up tp snuff on your display but on other systems, you either calibrate the tank by using actual gas levels ( from empty to full) OR set the system to use the linear approach. In that case all you need to set is the tank capacity. You do not set any actual levels like quarter/half etc. The system assumes that when the sender reads 103 ohms ( halfway point in it's range) the tank is half full or half empty for the pessimists.
The spec for resistance range for US spec senders is 240 ohms empty to 33.5 ohms full.
