I am at that point on my 360 I need to shave a few hours here or there on maint, after 4+ years people still think its a new boat, but I DO need to find out what other 360 owners are doing on their boats to keep them looking new. And yes GW, please take note for the new "420 Express" which I hope to be one of the first multiple GW large Express owners to place an order once its finally announced.....
Here are the areas I find hard to maintain looking as if it just came out of the showroom (whicih is the way I keep my boats) ; in the grand scheme of things, maybe no big deal, but if you have any magic I would sure like to know:
a. Helm: at my age crawling around under the windshield is a chore, any thoughts on how to keep all that area ahead of the electronics / under the windshield spicky span?
b. Under the hardtop: I find a fan inside the helm and a pressure wash every 2-3 months keeps everything really shining inside under the hardtop, anyone else have any magic here? I'm talking about the under side of the hardtop, including the area with the PFD storage
c. Top of the hardtop: again, at my age, getting up on top to caulk / clean is out of the question. How do you keep your hardtop and fittings in great shape?
d. the rim of the cockpit hatch: this one gets nasty all the time, seems to catch all the water draining from rain or whatever. I love the access, but the rim of the hatch is a royal pain to keep spicky span, white and no mold or debris
What am I missing? the rest of the 360 seems to be reasonable to maintain, even recaulking the transom plates every few months, rub rail joints, etc. Big boats take care and GW builds the best for sure, what do you do to keep your 360 in tip top shape??
