Hi, relatively new to the site and in the final throes of importing my 2007 Journey 258 into Australia. I have never been in a GW, never seen one in the 'flesh', but have purchased through word of mouth, some assistance from a number of people on this site and also through spending a load of time sifting through the forum topics. Great concept and really helpful....

I have just sold my BW Outrage and currently boatless, but the 258 arrives mid April and I have to travel around 700 miles south to pick-up from the port and then drag up the coast to her new residence.

Will post some pictures when she gets here.

Thanks for the all help and look forward to receiving the new addition to the family!!!!

Wow. I'm impressed. Most of us owners have been accused of drinking GW's kool aid but you must have found some with something extra in it. I don't think I could gather the courage to do what you've done. Of course, we all think you did the right thing. Welcome aboard.

Hey Gwwannabe, I have taken a bit of a gamble but the broker I have dealt with has been fantastic and been really good to deal with. Also had the boat independently surveyed and feedback was really good with the boat passing in flying colours. I certainly am a little nervous and look forward to rolling into the port in Brisbane to pick up the boat - hopefully all will be in order.
Let's hope I am right!!

Congrats! I just bought my 1997 248 Voyager sight unseen from southern cali...had a survey etc.....then had it pulled up here 1300 miles to my house.....

Needed a bit more elbow grease than I thought, but all in all, a great boat!

Good luck and can't wait to see pictures!

Congratulations - I imported a 258 late last year. Hope you didn't import a standard trailer with the boat as it won't be compliant in Australia. Let me know if you want to touch base and I may be able to give you some clues.

Thanks Andy, put a fair bit of effort int the trailer and all has worked out. Are you happy with your 258? What sort of price would you expect to get for the boat if you sold?
