I am looking to possibly purchase a 85 trophy pro 25. Was wondering if this is a solid boat at its age? The engine was rebuilt 7 years ago, out drive rebuilt 5 years ago and has new prop. I do realize with the year that there will be some issues. But it does sound like it has been taken care of. Is there any problem areas I should look at on this boat? And what would be a good price to settle on?

Too many variables for anyone here to comment without some pictures at a minimum.

As said above not enough info. If seriously thinking about it get a survey and that should give you an idea of the hull condition. The mechanicals would be a crap shoot. Original engine and drive? What make? Parts for I/Os of that era are getting scarce or nonexistent. I repowered my '83 Kingfish in 2007, boat was/is in good shape so for me it was a good move BUT I have owned the boat since 1987. I knew the condition and the care it had recieved. Have to figure that there would be a lot of surprises in a boat unknown to you of that age.
