Took the swim platform off and the bracket... cleaned up the holes and getting ready for a new custom bracket...and a 300.

Cool. Put a Custom Marine Weld bracket on my Seafarer this summer and a 300 Verado. YUUUUP! She giddy ups! LOL!

4 Months for a Merc 300. Think I might sit it out. The new ones are pretty nice!

Started cleaning up a few things now that the bracket, motor and steering are done. Priced some new helm seats--no thanks.

Disassembled the helm seats
Soaked the hardware in vinegar
Wet sanded the UV damaged plastic until smooth.
Followed up with bleach to kill any missed growth.
Reassembled and coated all the plastic with 303. I'll hit it again tomorrow.

I have to do the Captains seat next. Is there a plastic insert that the chair slides on (fore/aft). I have a lot of play in the slide mechanism. Is there a good source for a replacement?
