94 Adventure 208 steering question

Guys- I bought this boat late last year, its in winter storage right now.

Should this boat have Hyd steering? It has a 94 Johnson 200 hp on it.

I would think that it does but I am not sure and cant access it for a few weeks yet.

I am thinking of adding an autopilot and was wondering about this

I am afraid that you will have to take a look at your boat. I am quite sure that hydraulic steering was an option when I ordered my 94 208.

I had a 96 Adventure and had a cabled no feed back system.

Brian: I'm pretty sure your boat came from the factory with No-Feedback mechanical steering. I don't recall hydraulic steering as being an option back then and the Grady catalog supports that. Mechanical 'No-Feedback' is also what came on my 1995 208 when I bought it new. Years later, when I put on a Yamaha HPDI, I added hydraulic steering. Worth it, in my opinion.

I have hydraulic steering on my boat. I just looked at my sales contract and it was an extra cost factory option that I ordered.
