Guys,
I am working on restoring or replacing the dash trim and side helm inserts on my 98 Seafarer. Some of you might recall that in 98 and 99 these models used a plastic, vinyl injected product for these parts. The are no longer manufactured or available from anywhere. Mine became especially damaged. I attempted to remove the vinyl and undercoating using a heat gun. I was successful on the dash pad frame, but the side panels are awful and I don't think they are restorable. My upholsterer thought he could work with the dash, but not the side inserts.
Apart from someone having a spare set lying around that they would part with, what have your done on your 98 or 99 to address this issue? Did you fabricate something? I could use some help on this one please!
