Anyone ever install a AC unit in a Voyager 248 and if yes where did you install it on the boat?

Not familiar with the specific boat, but some on the board have installed them. Maybe talk with GW Cust Service and see where the stock location is and ask for some details on the model used by them. Really not that hard, prob the biggest thing is getting water to it (thru hull needed) and figuring out where the vents should go.

Plus, you will need an electrical panel for shore power, unless you plan on running a sizable generator underway. Those 3 things take up a lot of space on a 24 with a small cabin.

Appreciate the information from both of you. I was looking for a hatch AC but it seems like they are not available. I will call Grady. I am concerned as you mentioned about space.

My advice for anyone considering a hatch carry on, is to pick one up and lug it around for 10 minutes, across a parking lot, up and down a flight of stairs. Then ask yourself if that is how you want to spend your leisure time.
You are 60. How does a back injury fit into your plans?

Only option in my book is a "like" factory install. As stated, you'll need power and if you want to run on the hook or while underway, you will need a genny. Might be good to just look for a couple of small dc fans.
