Need to replace nav lights on 29 Chesapeake. Seems that wiring needs to be accessed from inside cabin. I loosened port light but seems I will break wiring if I pull it to the outside. Can someone give me a tip? Seems it would be the same on Sailfish or Marlin models.

Check inside the anchor locker. That being said, both Gradys I have owned when you unscrew the light fixture there was plenty of slack in the wire.

On my 208, the wires are tucked up under the gunnels. You can't easily see them but you can feel them. They do crossover in the anchor locker and are secured to the inside of the upper locker.
