So, tried mowing the lawn, no go....batteries and wet lawn.

So went to the shop. Still have the top half and some cleanup, to smooth the edges, plug will have joist hooks for longer rods etc, but, gotthe rods off the ground.

Harsh crowd lol.

Sorry, was busy all day. Actually, just got off the phone with my buddy making plans for the first and second trip to the coast.

Snapper season starts June 1, so we are planning to get to the coast the weekend of June 6, and we will hit the coast at least 1 time before that, even if still teleworking....I will just telework from his place on the coast.

I just wish I had a more experienced Grady person on the first trip.

My plan is to use part of ye ol stimulus check next week lol...buy new hubs and a eripb. This month will be a few small repairs, nothing major...but she will be ready by May 1.

I will have my drone out when we hit the coast and may stream live on youtube or facebook so I can ask questions as I work through the first few minutes of her maiden voyage.

If anyone plans to be around Port Aransas or Rockport around May, let me know;)

Lol, all in good fun. Today was the first day I have had off in well over a month, and most days have been 10-12 hour days. I was lucky to get what I got done. Was sloppy, more than I wanted, but I was trying to let my 10yr old son do most of it and teach him about tools. It is not done or perfect by any means, but we had fun and now they won’t get all tangled up.

We will get back to it in the morning. The Tractor is charging so if the weather holds, I plan to run it around the yard a bit. The kid next door just started college so needs cash. Told him he could do the yard when he gets in town, so need to leave it for him.

That means I can do all the small repairs on the boat and then work on the hull.

Will post an update if I make good progress. She’s ready to head out, but I want to add grease to the hubs, or replace them If I have time.

Nuts for me too, but lucky we are working. I feel bad for those that are not. $1200 sounds great but really nothing. People living check to check are worse off. We are creating dependency and a non-virtuous loop of dependency. I hope this turns quick, we get people back to work and we see a "V" recovery. The market looks to be betting on it. I hope so, if not it could get ugly.

We're not quite ready to remove wrap up here. Getting close, but we always seem to get a big April snow storm. 2-weeks more and the cover is off and I'm going at it.

Russ a boat is a boat it doesn't matter what brand it is just drive it like any other boat . You will get there and back as long as the engines are OK.
If you have to tow a long way make sure you check the bearings on the trailer, if you find any trace of water in there, like milky colour grease, new bearings and seals at the very least.
Good luck on the snapper . I can't wait to get out myself, weather is always suitable here as long as the wind is not above 20 mph.
