Called Grady and there is a re enforcement plate imbedded into the underside of the fuel tank cover on 305/330 express boats. Design is for mounting fighting chair or launchers, I’m going to install a Realese rocket launcher. Just wondering if anyone has removed this large cover and once it’s off I plan to replace any fuel lines and wiring I can as PM Is the cover hard to reseal and is it a huge job.
Thanks for any input

As I recall, there is additional material under the glass for this on most GWs 30+ feet (maybe even smaller). I don't think you will need to relocate much if anything. Investigate a flat as possible mount (flush mount) that allows you to take off the rocket launcher if desired - they make them. The only issue is the cockpit will be tighter. Having the ability to quickly mount/dismount will be a big win for other uses.

This one (Todd) is overkill but you get the idea. I recall a mount that twisted and locked in place and could be removed when not desired.

D or F looks like an option.
