Not a Grady subject exactly. Being on call on your birthday kinda sucks, but is giving me time to clean and replace line on a few rods and reels. I am realizing that i may have a problem. The truth is every rod I have is necessary as is having an extra for a spare or when fishing two rods. I am sure I’m not alone and this is probably a bigger obsession than the boat. Trout and bass gear will have to wait for another day for cleaning.C2837DED-6ECE-4661-95D2-C26A2C9069C6.jpeg32AACA70-1C66-44C2-8AEC-59DE0CF49724.jpeg

And the truth shall set you free!

Problem?
What problem??
I don’t see any problem.

Maybe your problem is that your seeing a problem where there is no problem.
That’s serious!,

You definitely need some professional help!!

I just did maintenance on most of my reels, I admit the problem....

No problem here!!!! Not sure what you speak of. And this isn't all of them.

Now this is a problem.
No-ones fishing tackle should be that well organised.
What’s wrong with the “Rubiks Cube Method” where you throw all the rods in a corner and then you can spend the days of bad weather working out how to untangle them?
Works best with lures and hooks still attached.

That’s a good one!! LOL

This thread made me do an inventory of my reels. The results are depressing. I haven't used most of them for over 10 years.

That is not a problem for a fisherman. It is a problem for a wife but with tactful negotiation you should be able to work through it.

With the look of that Grouper, it appears you’ve been missing out on some good times.

I only use about 10 reels on a regular basis. That's WAY less than half of what I have accumulated since the 1960s. I recently sold 3 Shimano Calcuttas. They were the first to go since my freshwater days are likely over. It was a liberating experience! :)
