2000 Chase 263 (same hull as 273). I'm replacing an OX66 250 with a Verado 350 (last of the L6...not new v10). I really have no idea where to start on this topic. I know I want a 3 blade and really looking to optimize cruising performance/economy (hoping for 30-35mph). Mercury's prop selection site is leading me towards a Mirage plus 15.75 / 15. Thoughts?

Call or email Ken at PropGods. They will help select a prop. Just helped me and lots of others have same experience. Plus, if the prop is not right they will exchange until you do get it right.

Good luck with the power upgrade!

just for reference, my 2000 chase has twin F250s. here are some performance numbers. props are Solace Rubex L3 15.25 x 19. not sure if it helps or not, but figured it cant hurt to pass along the info

3500 rpm --- 27.2 mph --- 10.8 gph
4000 rpm --- 33.2 mph --- 15.7 gph

5900 rpm ---52.X mph --- 40 ish gph

edit - i got these from Ken at PropGods. the priors were 14.5 x 23 and were too much prop for the boat

Appreciate it Ekea. Hoping I can see something similar to your numbers. Like I said, any cruise in 30-35 range with 2mpg would be ideal !
