New member about to take the plunge and finally get a Grady. I am looking at 2003 Adventure 208 with a 175 Yamaha HDPI. I looked at the boat this weekend and everything is fine, except for one thing. There is a ding in the deck, about a foot behind the helm seat. The ding is about the size of a quarter, is fairly deep and has penetrated the liner.

Is this something that can be easily repaired? It is right in an area on the deck that will be walked over quite often. I am concerned about this being a long term issue with water seeping under the deck, causing soft spots.

Sounds like somebody probably dropped a lead weight on it...

The deck can be repaired....not a huge job. A good fiberglass guy can match the non-skid and you will never be able to tell.

If everything else checks out, I wouldn't let this be a deal breaker. Just factor it in to your offer....
