I'm sure I could answer this question for myself by going over to the marina and poking around but how hard is it to replace the aft bilge pump on a Freedom 275? I think mine is burnt out.

It all depends on accessability. Easiest way is to replace with the same model, then you can just pop the motor off, reconnect the wires and the hose, and use the same base already in the boat. Some you just have to unscrew the motor cartridge, screw in a replacement motor, and connect the wires. What do you have?

Good advise to put the same bilge pump or bilge switch back in. Don't make a project out of a project unless there is a good reason.
Most likely a cartridge pump that snaps out of the base. Should be easy.

Agree with the above advice, but I think it depends on how old the original pump is. So just be prepared in advance...
I bought the same exact pump but the bases were slightly different. They looked identical but the clips on strainer were in slightly different positions. I plan to follow the same advice for my aft bilge hoping for a different outcome.
