Unbelievable.... unable to find an anchor light for this boat ( base is on windshield) but previous owner misplaced light. Can't find it anywhere! called Grady, Perko and numerous Grady dealers and it seems light is discontinued and no one has it. Very disappointed in Grady White changing light on newer models of 208 and then not even having any stock. Any ideas out there? Maybe a Grady graveyard? Its a Perko Part # 1632SPL006. That Grady can give me but really no other help. Gees ,,,,Grady its not an antique one of a kind car!! :bang

I broke my anchor light pole and it really is hard to find one for my 2001 208 Adventure. I found the parts manual and on page 161 it gives me the name but can't find that on-line. It is the Top Mount Light (Windshield) Light Manufacturer: Perko Replacement Bulb #: Perko 338 DP2 CLR "Reduced Glare"
Any suggestions where to buy a new pole that has the needed bend in it? Thanks for any suggestions!

I am not available to measure mine now but I have searched in the past f0r other posts. The assemble that SkunkBoat referenced is the right form factor and look but I think the OEM version is taller. The lamp has to be higher than the Bimini top.
Although I was able to find taller models, they did not have the correct bend at the connector'
Measure from the top of the windshield connector to a few inches or more above the bimini to get an idea of the required height.
Of course if you don't have Bimini the height isn't as critical as long as the lamp is not shining in your eyes.
Also note that on my 206 with the OEM post, it has to be removed to lower the Bimini

Thanks for finding and sending over this link, I really appreciate it!
My light pole has the bend near the bottom just above where it connects to the windshield, not at the top like the one on Amazon. This photos shows where the bend is and of course it is right where I broke it trying to fold down my bimini on a windy day.

I will comiserate with you about Perko.

Perko has been dropping models and not been updating their remaining to LED. And their incandescant fixtures cost twice what an Amazon LED fixture cost.
Perko is becoming "dead to me"
For my 265 Hardtop I just bought a fold down 24" LED 3nm All-Around with replaceable LED bulb <$40. I needed a taller one because I'm raising the radar 4".
Perko had nothing taller than 12" and not LED.
I surfed the internet and stared at West Marine shelves for weeks. A lot of the so-called "All-Around" LED models don't actually have bulbs that shine 360deg.
A lot of them have very short, thin, unprotected wire that will be exposed to sun and barely reach into the hardtop.

Its a crap shoot on quality. I haven't recieved mine yet so we'll see. I suspect the plastic fold down bracket will be crap.
In my searches I saw battery powered LED for biminis. Some expensive and fancy, one basically a flashlight with a clamp. Depending on how often you need a light that might be something you could use instead of a windshield pole.

Annoying about Perko changing and no longer supporting older models! It would be great if Grady White could help us get parts needed for their boats even if it is an older model and 20 years old is not that old for a boat.
Good luck with LED you are getting I hope it works. Also I like your idea of a battery powered LED for biminis. Might do the trick as we don't need it tons, just stinks they don't still have the light pole.
Thanks again for your thoughts on this!

This may belong in the, “What could Grady do better” thread. Why anyone would design a white light in front of the driver, unless totally obscured on the hardtop, is beyond my comprehension. It not only diminishes your night vision, but the shaft has to be so long, to get it above your direct line of sight, that it creates a lot of leverage on the windshield frame.
I would relocate it somewhere further aft.

A good parts business would have addressed this. If I were GW, I'd either start it or farm it out to someone.

Good idea about putting this in the what could GW do better area. I will say when it was working the pole was high enough to get the light out of night vision but having it mounted on the stern would be even better.
Here in Maine there are not many boats out at night so sometimes going without it on helps visibility, just want it to be safe and legal.
Thanks for the suggestions on this everyone, it is much appreciated!

Hopefully, the OP solved his dilemma. In the mean time, I finally go to my 208 and measured measured the anchor light mast and as I thought, it is pretty long, 35 inches from plug end to top. Of course it has a bend near the plug end to compensate for the angle of the windshield frame. The part was made by Perko but there isn't anything like it in the current Perko catalog
