Anchor locker latch

[1st grady]

I purchased this latch from ebay and was wondering if will hold my anchor locker shut. Hand holding it does not seem like it will latch. I have seen them on the newer GW models.

I have that latch on my fish box, utility locker, and anchor locker. All work fine.
