Anyone fit a 17 “ MFD (Garmin 2817) on a Freedom 285?

I’m in the process of switching from a Freedom 275 to a Freedom 285. I currently have a 17” MFD chart plotter (Garmin 8617) on my GW 275 and would like to continue with one on my new GW Freedom 285. However the vertical axis in the electronic display area for the GW 285 is one inch shorter (12”) than the same axis for the GW 275(13”). The Garmin 8617 display has a vertical axis of 12.1”.
Has anyone installed a Garmin 8617 on a GW 285? Can it be done. Thanks!

i was able to have a Garmin 19-inch installed into a GW Freedom 235

dealer said it wouldn’t fit

Shiptronics installed it

Looks great! Thanks for that info. Is that chartplotter a Simrad? Do you know the vertical height of the unit? I know the electronic display area specs on a GW 235 is 12.5 “ height (only 12 “ high on a Freedom 285). The Garmin 8617 I want to install is 12.1 high. I don’t know if that extra .1” will prohibit me from installing the 8617

The 9219 is overkill for a GW 235, but I’m very happy with it, the 4K screen subdivides well into 4 very readable screens
