So, only asking because I do not have the boat here heh...

Curious what these keys are for and how easy it is to replace them. I hate making copies of worn keys, so wanted new “master keys” to keep at home, just in case.

I plan to call Yamaha and see about replacements for the motors as well.

These say Southo on them, assuming doors and lock boxes on the boat.

Thanks!

Russ

Ho-lee-crap... Southpark.. (I call them that now..) had the keys. The total was like $8... but, to ship them UPS ground was #32....that is beyond stupid. Cheaper to order them from somewhere else.

I think they go to the cabin and the lockable boxes.

Small ones for the Southco latches on the companionway, and the larger ones fit the small lockers under the two seats in the cockpit, and the one on the helm instruments if it has a lockable door.

I was able to order replacements for everything.

The first two sets were like 13.50 and the yamaha replacements were like $17 each, with shipping and new key protectors.. Those will get placed in a safe place till/if needed, while I keep using the older ones. Just did not want to get stuck without extra keys heh

Which ones were for the under seat boxes? I have one that is locked closed and I can’t find the key. I only need to unlock it once and will never lock it again...

Mine is the larger, square Southco key. The smaller square Southco key is for the cuddy hatch locks.

The round ones are for the Southco push button latches on the radio boxes. Press with your thumb while holding the curved piece for your index finger.
The smaller are for the Southco circular latches (black or stainless) that allow entry into the cabin or the drawers.

On later models post 2012 I think the same key that does the cabin hatch does the under seats as well.

For my underseat tackle drawers, a small, flat-head screw driver works as well as the key...
