Going to hit you in the face... These are nice if you want to show off your boat to a clueless person or hide a true design flaw. They simply cover up a potential water intrusion point and quite honestly are the stupidest thing I've ever seen (screwed) on a fiberglass boat.

When I'm due for a transom rebuild I'll have it glassed over like fishtales above. That's exactly how it should be. Still drives me nuts considering how much I love everything else about these boats.
